Research Interests: Behaviour change, decision making, adaptive capacity, commercial fishing, climate change and health behaviours.
Research Aims: To use psychological theories of decision making and behaviour change to improve understanding and prediction of adaptive capacity in commercial fishers. I am also interested in predicting health behaviours using models of decision making.
Expected Research Outcomes: Development of guidelines for communication with commercial fishers to improve the uptake of adaptive behaviours; Improved understanding of why commercial fishers choose to or not to adapt to the risks they face; By sharing findings with commercial fishers, they may learn from how others have responded to a range of challenges.
